                      Tips

In Telugu, the basic sentences can be responded by inserting one more word as adjective before a noun.

S1

                N1                           n2

      Adi pustakam

S1

                N1              adj           n2

    Adi kotta pustakam

In fig(2)  n2 is preceded by an adjective to qualify the following noun

In Telugu , adjectives are divided into the following categories

1. Basic adjectives are

                         aa

                         ii

                         prati

                         ee?

                         Oka

Aa,ii are the oblique forms(derived) from adi, idi, eedi. Those adjective forms are always used

as adjectives in any type of sentence. These are called noun phrases.

                     Prati rooju

                    Aa pustakam

                    Ii kaagitam

                    Oka pustakam

2. Adjectives which qualify the nouns by their quality / quantity etc

                     Kotta------------idi kotta sinimaa

                     Paata------------adi paata paaTa

                     Cinna-----------idi cinna hoTel

                     Pedda----------adi pedda gaDiyaaram

                     Tella-----------adi tella gurram

                     Nalla----------idi nalla meeka

                      Erra-----------adi erra mandaaram

3.Numeral adjectives:

In the third level of verbless sentences ,we  can also include an adjective form in the sentence i.e ,N1 can be expanded by prefixing an adjective form to make a  noun phrase

 Adi pustakam

Adi naa pustakam

In the above figures ,fig(1) has only two words(N1 and N2).

In fig(2) N2 is prefixed by an adjective.Similarly,in fig(3) N1 is prefixed by an oblique form to make a noun phrase.Like this, the fig(3) is expanded with two NPs (NP1,Np2).Then the sentence would be like this

 aa  pustakam naa pustakam

In this type of sentence , the oblique forms 'aa' ,'ii','ee' are used in the beginning .And these sentences can also be expanded as follows

1)       renDu pustakaalu naa pustakaalu

2)       renDu pustakaalu naa telugu pustakaalu

 MuuDoo                    third                                aaviDa mudo upanyaasakuralu

Ennoo            number in the order                      miiru enno waaru ?
